Jonathan Goldstein

Jonathan Goldstein is a senior executive search leader and advisor with over 20 years of experience in private equity, talent strategy, and leadership advisory. He specializes in helping investment firms build high-performing teams and navigate complex portfolio challenges.

Jonathan is a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles and serves as Regional Managing Partner of the Global Private Capital Practice in the Americas.

He advises alternative asset managers on recruiting investment professionals, operating partners, advisors, and fundraising leaders, while also supporting clients on portfolio company leadership needs. His clients include a broad range of general partners—across buyout, growth equity, distressed, credit, and specialty lending strategies—as well as limited partners such as sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, corporations, and endowments. Earlier in his career, Jonathan was a Vice President at Sun Capital Partners and began his career investing in private equity markets in the former Soviet Union with AIG Brunswick Millennium and New Century Holdings. He is fluent in Russian.

Jonathan holds a Master’s degree from the Wharton School, a Master’s degree in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Literature from Brown University.
