David Tayeh
Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Dave is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Tayeh Capital Group (TCG). He has more than 25 years of private equity experience. Prior to TCG, Dave was the Global Head of Private Equity for Investcorp, where he was a member of the Executive Committee, Operating Committee, and various Investment Committees. Previously, Dave was a Partner at CVC Capital, served as the Chief Financial Officer of Jostens Inc., and started his career as an investment banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Over the past 25+ years, Dave has served on more than 25 corporate and charitable boards of directors and currently serves on the boards of AlixPartners, CrossCountry Consulting, Fortune International, ICR, Alex Lee, and the Arab-American Family Support Center.

Dave holds a BA degree from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Jon Ang
Partner

Jon joined Tayeh Capital Group (TCG) as a Partner in 2025 and focuses on opportunities across the business services sector. Prior to joining TCG, Jon spent over 14 years at Brentwood Associates, a middle-market private equity firm, specializing in growth-oriented investments in the essential services sector. Before joining Brentwood, Jon was a Principal at Investcorp, where he focused on private equity investing in a variety of industries. During his 23 year career in private equity, Jon has been actively involved with over 20 different investments across commercial services, distribution, franchising, restaurants and consumer goods and services.

His experience before Investcorp includes a year on the Luce Scholars Program working with the Thailand government on small business development, two years as a Research Associate at the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC), a non-profit formed by Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter, and two years as an Analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a dual bachelor’s degree in finance and legal studies from the Wharton School of Business.

Cristina Conforto
Chief of Staff

Cristina is the Chief of Staff at Tayeh Capital Group (TCG), where she plays a key role in driving the firm’s mission – bringing people together, keeping operations running seamlessly, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks. With over 25 years of experience in private equity and fast-paced, high-pressure environments, Cristina is known for her steady presence, ability to execute with precision, and the genuine care she brings to every relationship.

Prior to joining TCG, Cristina spent 17 years at Investcorp, most recently serving as the Administrator of Private Equity North America. There, she was the trusted point person for coordinating a wide range of responsibilities in support of the senior leadership team.

Cristina attended Iona College, where she pursued studies in business administration, and later completed the business administration program at the Grace Institute. 

Jake Freeman
Principal

Jake joined Tayeh Capital Group (TCG) from Lakeview Capital, which is Jay Alix’s family office where he spent six years as Director of Investments managing its private equity portfolio. Prior to Lakeview, Jake held roles at Kenex Holdings and McKinsey & Company.

He currently serves on the boards of directors of EdenRoc Sciences (as an observer) and My/Mochi.

Jake holds a BA in Economics and a BBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

AK Schipper
Vice President

AK joined Tayeh Capital Group (TCG) from Tenex Capital Management, a middle-market, operationally focused private equity firm based in New York. With Tenex, AK spent three years on the investment team both underwriting and managing portfolio companies across business services and industrials verticals. Companies AK was involved in while at Tenex include RF Fager, Rose Paving, Gold Medal Pools, Smile Design, Big Bolt, SRS and Unirac.

Prior to Tenex, AK worked at Barings on its Private Equity team in Charlotte, North Carolina.

AK holds a BS in Finance from Wake Forest University.

Heidi Vanhamme
Chief Operating Officer

Heidi is the Chief Operating Officer of Tayeh Capital Group (TCG).

Heidi brings almost two decades of experience in private equity. Prior to joining TCG, she served as the Chief Operating Officer at Broad Sky Partners, a first-time, middle-market private equity firm, where she focused on building out the firm’s operating platform. Prior to Broad Sky Partners, Heidi spent five years at The Carlyle Group, mainly within the Managed Accounts Investment Programs group, managing multi-asset SMAs for institutional investors, totaling over $1.75 billion in AUM.

Prior to Carlyle and Broad Sky Partners, Heidi worked with Dave, Jon and Cristina at Investcorp, where she served as the key interface among the private equity investment team, capital raising group, finance team, and LPs. Heidi started her career at Arthur Andersen in the Corporate Finance Group, providing M&A advisory services. 

Heidi holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain and a BBA from EU Business School in Antwerp, Belgium.

Jay Alix
Co-Founder & Senior Advisor

Jay is a co-founder and senior advisor of Tayeh Capital Group (TCG).

Jay is the founder of AlixPartners, the global turnaround and restructuring advisory firm he launched in 1981 and built into an industry leader with over 3,300 professionals globally across 26 offices. The pioneer of the Chief Restructuring Officer role, Jay has led many of the most complex and high-profile turnarounds of the last four decades, including General Motors’s historic 40-day bankruptcy restructuring. He has advised corporate boards, government agencies, and private equity firms on complex corporate transformations, operational restructurings, complex financial solutions, and other special situations.

In 1995, Jay co-founded Questor Partners Funds. This investment fund managed over a billion dollars of private equity, combining turnaround management expertise and capital, for over a decade. It focused on investing in turnarounds, underperforming and distressed companies, as well as special situations focused on performance improvement.

Jay remains an active board member and shareholder at AlixPartners and is involved in a range of philanthropic initiatives, including his long-standing leadership at the Mayo Clinic, where the medical school bears his name.

Jay holds an MBA from Rutgers University and a Bachelor’s in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Jay has also earned certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Certified Insolvency & Reorganization Advisor (CIRA).
